TRAILER STRUCTURE:
Trailer – Custom built flatbed trailer, built by Pac West Trailers in Sacramento, CA, who custom builds thousands of trailers every year. This trailer was built from the ground up paying attention to every small detail. All components were over engineered in size and weight capacities to ensure that the trailer would hold all components added on to the trailer. Custom reinforcing beams were built into the center of the trailer to ensure the carrying capacity of the very heavy battery components. Recycled steel was used whenever possible and the entire deck of the trailer was built with 100% recycled tire decking. The trailer axels are each rated at 7000lbs (14,000lbs combined) yet the trailer is stamped with a 9995lb GVWR. Custom powder coat painting was done on the trailer.
Solar Frame Structure – The solar 'A' frame structure was built and engineered around the solar tiles and components. It was custom powder coated and the framing and hinge system was designed to specifically hold the solar tiles used.
Electric Utility Mast – The 15' electric winch mast was designed and built by Floatograph, Inc. They are a manufacturer of custom masts, mainly for military applications. It supports a 50lb load and is extended and retracted with a switch in the control panel box. Solar Array Electric Actuators – A total of 4 electric screw actuators were utilized in the building of the solar array frame.
These actuators were built by Nook Industries that specializes in industrial linear actuators for manufacturing and industrial purposes. Each actuator has a 1500lbs push/pull capacity. Therefore, each array side has a push/pull combined capacity of 3000lbs, well over the approximate 750lb lift force required to angle each solar array side as needed. The array can be positioned at a 45 degree angle on either side of the trailer and manual 2D tracking of the sun can be obtained.
Cargo Boxes – A total of 5 Cargo boxes are positioned on the trailer. 2 on each side and 1 on the back. They hold misc components such as the water pump, sink, hot water system, water filtration components, extension cords, spider boxes, etc. They are custom power coated.
GENERATOR COMPONENTS:
Solar Panels – A total of 14 SunWize SW180 solar modules were utilized in the build out. Each module has a 180 output capacity and is a mono?crystalline silicon solar cell. They come with a 25 year manufacture limited warranty. The array has a total solar collection capacity of
2520 watts. See attached spec sheet.
Batteries – A total of 4 custom built battery cells were utilized on the trailer. The batteries were custom manufactured by IBE in Sun Valley, CA. The system's total storage capacity of 46kwH or 1,882AH at 24VDC. Each cell is built from smaller lead-acid 6v components. Heavy gauge connecting wires were utilized and a heat sensor is wired into the Outback system. The cells are wired to produce a 24v output current. Charge Controller/ Invertors – Outback FW500 w/ 120/240VAC single phase output. An automatic watering system is installed on this unit.
See attached spec sheets.
Wiring / Output – There are a total of three 20amp/120v circuits and a single 30amp 220 circuit. There are numerous heavy gage extension cords as well as a 30amp/220 spider box included with the system. Diesel Generator – An Onan 10kw Ultra Quite, electric start, Diesel Generator was installed with the system. It provides a 50Amp / 220v output. It is wired through the charge controller and can charge the battery array at a rate of 5kwH. When generator is running the voltage runs to the battery charging as well as the output sockets. The generator is wired to the Outback mate system controller and can be set to auto?start at a pre?designated level based on battery usage. It is currently set to automatically kick on when the batteries are down to about 25% capacity.
Wind Generator – The wind generator is an AirX 400w Marine system. It is wired
through the charge controller and into the battery system. It has a manual shut off switch if
required. See attached spec sheet.
MOBILE GREEN POWER:
The entire Mobile Green Power business is also for sale with the trailer including all marketing materials, websites, promotional materials, client lists, trademarks, service marks, logos, etc. This would be a perfect business opportunity for someone to pick up and run that has time for marketing, outdoor events, working with disaster relief organizations, rentals, etc. MGP has utilized this trailer at multiple events and has charged anywhere from $500 and up for a rental on a weekend event. The business portion would be sold for an additional $5,000.00.
